Diagnostic Testing at Wright Veterinary Medical Center

Diagnostic testing is just one of the tools in our arsenal to help us understand your pet’s health. Whether your pet is feeling under the weather or has just come in for their annual routine wellness exam, we use our diagnostic tools to keep tabs on your pet’s health.

Our in-house laboratory is just one of our many diagnostic tools that helps us better understand your pet’s health. We can test for a multitude of problems and diseases onsite, allowing us to get fast, precise results without having to rely on an outside lab.

We use our in-house laboratory to conduct the following tests:

Our laboratory capabilities set us apart from other veterinary practices. The above list is by no means complete – depending on your pet’s needs, we may be able to conduct other tests that will help us diagnose your pet’s condition.

Because our laboratory is on-site, we get results back faster than if we had to send your pet’s samples to an outside laboratory. This helps us get your pet to treatment faster, so that they don’t suffer any longer than necessary.

Each of the tests listed above provides a wealth of information about your pet’s health that a physical or visual exam may not be able to tell us. Because we conduct some basic lab testing with your pet’s routine wellness exams, we’re able to develop a baseline of your pet’s normal health. This helps us to spot changes in your pet’s health more quickly and allows us to intervene early.

What to Expect During Surgery

Our state-of-the-art surgical suite is tailored to your pet’s needs and safety, from induction to recovery. Our trained staff carefully monitors your pet throughout the procedure until completely recovered in our custom heated cages.

Using a multi-faceted approach, your pet is kept comfortably warm throughout it’s surgery. Your pet rests on a warm water-circulating blanket, is covered with a warm air-circulating blanket and receives warmed IV fluids.

Our state-of-the-art digital monitors provide constant vigilance on the pet’s temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen and carbondioxide levels, throughout the anethesia.

Surgical laser, radio suregery, ligasure surgical forceps, cryosurgery and operating magnification allow us to perform a wide randge of services.
